SOUTHFIELD, PLYMOUTH FACILITIES SUPPORT STARFISH FAMILY SERVICES

The DRiV™ and Tenneco Powertrain facilities in Southfield and Plymouth, Michigan, recently held a back-to-school supplies drive to benefit Starfish Family Services.  The annual collection, sponsored by the Recreation Council, is held to provide families across metropolitan Detroit with the necessities to begin a successful school year.  Overall, the following was collected:

  • Backpacks: 106 
  • Pencil Boxes: 134 
  • Markers: 222 
  • Crayons: 376 
  • Colored Pencils: 143 
  • Glue: 99 
  • Pencils: 471 
  • Notebooks: 73 
  • Construction Paper: 56 
  • Scissors: 79 
  • Folders: 77 
  • Lunchbox: 2 
  • Playdoh: 53 
  • Erasers: 95 
  • Pens: 113 
  • Binders: 4 
  • Highlighters: 9 
  • Loose Leaf: 7 
  • Gum: 2
