Jason Hollar

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Jason Hollar is Tenneco’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. Promoted to the role of CFO in July 2018, he is responsible for financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, tax, treasury and investor relations for the company. 

When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Hollar is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Hollar joined Tenneco in June 2017 from Sears Holding Corporation, where he was most recently chief financial officer. Prior to Sears, Hollar worked with both Delphi Automotive and Navistar in a number of senior finance roles. He served as Delphi’s corporate controller and as vice president of finance for the company’s powertrain systems division, which also included oversight of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. At Navistar, he held finance positions of increasing responsibility in the company’s engine group, South America operations, corporate financial planning and analysis and as chief financial officer for Navistar’s military/defense subsidiary. 

Hollar holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and received his MBA from The University of Chicago. 

Brad Norton

Executive Vice President, President Ride Performance

Brad Norton is Tenneco’s executive vice president and president OE Ride Performance, responsible for overseeing the company’s original equipment Ride Performance business unit. When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Norton is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to joining Tenneco in October 2018, Norton was co-chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer of Federal-Mogul Holdings LLC, and chief executive officer, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. He was also elected to the Board of Managers of Federal-Mogul LLC. 

Norton has more than 25 years of global automotive experience in both original equipment and the aftermarket. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul Motorparts in 2014, he was president and a board member of Freudenberg-NOK, the Americas joint venture between Freudenberg GmbH and NOK Corporation. Previously, he held a series of increasingly responsible leadership positions in operations, supply chain, commercial and organizational strategy with BorgWarner, Nissan North America, AlliedSignal and other companies. 

Norton earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio, and an MBA from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. 

Jay Kunkel

Executive Vice President APAC

Jay Kunkel is Tenneco’s executive vice president, Asia Pacific, responsible for the company’s Asia Pacific Aftermarket operations as well as corporate oversight for the region, including shared support functions and government relations. 

When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Kunkel is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Kunkel’s career includes more than 20 years of experience leading operations for global companies throughout Asia. Prior to joining Tenneco in 2018, he spent five years serving as president, Asia for Lear Corporation. Prior to Lear, he spent eight years with Continental AG in Shanghai as president Asia, and before that, held several Tokyo-based leadership positions with SRP International Group, PwC Financial Advisory Services and Visteon Asia Pacific. 

He began his career as a marketing supervisor with Motorola’s Semiconductor Division before joining Chrysler Corporation, holding various positions of increasing responsibility during his seven-year tenure. 

Kunkel holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. He serves on the board of directors of Varex Imaging, a leading manufacturer of medical x-ray tubes based in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Scott Usitalo

Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer

Scott Usitalo is Tenneco’s senior vice president, chief marketing officer, responsible for leading all brand and marketing strategies for the company’s global aftermarket and ride performance business.  

When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Usitalo is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Usitalo is a veteran marketing executive with more than 30 years of combined brand building and general management experience. Before joining Tenneco, he spent the last 10 years as a marketing executive with The Kimberly-Clark Company, most recently as chief marketing officer, responsible for oversight of all the company’s corporate brands, including Huggies, Kleenex, Scott and Cottonelle, among others.  Prior to his role as CMO, Usitalo spent three years as president of North America Family Care, Kimberly-Clark’s largest business line, where he increased top line revenue growth, grew market share and improved operating profit.  

Prior to Kimberly-Clark, Usitalo spent 24 years with Proctor & Gamble (P&G), including four years in global marketing roles.  He began his P&G career in product supply operations before transitioning to marketing roles of increasing responsibility, supporting brands like Vidal Sassoon, Folgers, Pringles and Crisco shortening.   

Usitalo is an avid car enthusiast who has restored and serviced vehicles from his teen years through today.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an honorary PhD from Michigan Technological University. 

Kaled Awada

Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer

Kaled Awada is Tenneco’s senior vice president, chief human resources officer, responsible for the company’s employee and labor relations and implementation of human resources programs and policies globally. A member of Tenneco’s leadership team, Awada works with senior management to ensure the company’s business strategies and HR initiatives are in alignment. He also oversees the company’s environmental, health and safety functions globally.

Awada joined Tenneco in 2018 from Aptiv, where he was most recently global vice president, human resources, for the company’s electrical distribution systems business, its largest division globally. Prior to Aptiv, he held leadership roles in human resources with Eaton Corporation, Textron Fastening Systems, and Faurecia Exhaust Systems. 

Awada holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, with an emphasis in organizational management from Ohio State University. 

Ernie Keith

Senior Vice President, Chief Supply Chain Officer

Ernie Keith is Tenneco’s senior vice president and chief supply chain officer, responsible for leadership of the company’s global supply chain infrastructure. When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Keith is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Before joining Tenneco in 2018, Keith served as COO of North Atlantic Industries.  Prior to that, he spent 11 years with Arrow Electronics, the last four of which as senior vice president, global services, overseeing the company’s supply chain excellence.  In addition, Keith spent 18 years with Hewlett Packard in roles of increasing responsibility.  He began his career as an engineer with Chevron Corporation. 

Keith holds bachelor’s degrees in both electrical engineering and mechanical engineering from the University of Idaho. 

Brandon Smith

Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Brandon Smith is Tenneco’s senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, responsible for managing the company’s global legal affairs, including corporate governance and compliance.  When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Smith is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to being named to his current position in February 2018, Smith served as vice president, deputy general counsel and assistant secretary of the company since 2014. He also served as assistant general counsel from 2011 to 2014 and senior corporate counsel prior to that.  

Smith joined Tenneco in 2008 as corporate counsel.  Before joining Tenneco, he was a corporate attorney with Kirkland & Ellis LLP, representing both public and private enterprises on a wide variety of corporate engagements.  

Smith earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Hiram College and a J.D. from Cornell University Law School. 

Rusty Patel

Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer

Rusty Patel, Tenneco senior vice president and chief information officer, is responsible for leading the company’s global information technology operations. When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Patel is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Patel joined Tenneco in February 2018 with an extensive background in information technology spanning more than 25 years. Most recently, he served as vice president, information technology for the building technologies and solutions business at Johnson Controls (JCI).  Prior to JCI, Patel held leadership roles in information technology with multinational companies including Tyco, VWR International and Motorola, Inc.  He began his career with EDS, supporting Delphi Automotive. 

Rusty holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Marquette University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. 

Chris Brathwaite

Vice President of Communications

Chris Brathwaite joined Tenneco in October 2018 as vice president, global communications, responsible for leading the company’s communications strategy, employee communications and external communications activities worldwide.  

Before joining Tenneco, Brathwaite spent 15 years with Sears Holdings, most recently as vice president, corporate communications.  Before his time at Sears, he spent three years at United Airlines as a chief spokesman. Brathwaite also worked in a variety of public relations and government affairs roles at State Farm. He began his career as a reporter and anchor with WJBC radio in Bloomington, Ill. 

Brathwaite holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. 

Andrew Sexton

Group Vice President and General Manager, EMEA Aftermarket

Andrew Sexton is Tenneco’s group vice president and general manager, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Aftermarket, responsible for customer facing sales and commercial operations, distribution and logistics, and marketing in the EMEA region.  When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Sexton is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to assuming his current role in January 2019, Sexton served as president, EMEA Aftermarket; and regional president, EMEA, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts. 

Sexton joined Federal-Mogul in 2000, and held positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president and general manager, Global Sealing and Engine; general manager, Global Sealing, Federal-Mogul Motorparts; plant manager, Skokie, Powertrain Sealing and Bearings (PTSB), Skokie;  director, Asia Pacific, PTSB, Shanghai, China;  general manager, China bearings, PTSB, Shanghai;  lean manufacturing manager, China, Powertrain, Shanghai;  lean manufacturing manager, St. Johns, Michigan; and several other roles in operations leadership.   

Sexton earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Michigan State University. 

Bruce Ronning

Group Vice President and General Manager, Americas Aftermarket

Bruce Ronning is Tenneco’s group vice president and general manager, Americas Aftermarket, responsible for the company’s aftermarket business in the Americas region.  He is based in Monroe, Michigan, and has full responsibility for all aspects of the business including manufacturing, engineering and sales/marketing.   

When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Ronning is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to assuming his current position, Ronning spent two years based in Brussels, Belgium, as vice president and general manager of Tenneco’s Europe Aftermarket business. 

Ronning joined Tenneco in February 2016 from Johnson Controls, Inc. after spending 17 years serving in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president and general manager of the company’s Asia Pacific region.  Prior to his time with JCI, Ronning spent ten years working for Snap On, Inc. 

Ronning is a graduate of the University of Maryland University College. 

Craig Frohock

Group Vice President and General Manager, Chassis Solutions

Craig Frohock is Tenneco’s group vice president and general manager, Chassis Solutions, responsible for overseeing product management, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and quality for the company’s aftermarket chassis business.  When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Frohock is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to joining Tenneco in January 2019, Frohock served as vice president, Global Sealing, Engine and Underhood Service (SEU) business unit, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts.

Frohock originally came to Federal-Mogul Motorparts from Meritor, where he began his career with the company in 1997 as an application engineer.  Throughout this time, he held positions of increasing responsibility, including director, braking systems; general manager, global trailer; vice president, aftermarket and trailer, North America; and vice president, aftermarket, North America, where he was responsible for Meritor’s aftermarket business in the commercial vehicle truck, trailer, specialty and bus, defense, and independent markets.    

Frohock earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. 

Bryon Osterland

Group Vice President and General Manager, PowerTech Solutions

Bryon Osterland is Tenneco’s group vice president and general manager, PowerTech Solutions, responsible for overseeing product management, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing and quality for the PowerTech Solutions aftermarket business. When DRiV Incorporated spins from Tenneco, Osterland is expected to serve in the same position with DRiV™, pending completion of all required steps and related board approvals. 

Prior to joining Tenneco in January 2019, Osterland previously served as vice president, Global Chassis, for Federal-Mogul Motorparts. He began his career with Federal-Mogul in 2002 and held positions of increasing responsibility across operations, purchasing, supply chain and product management, including roles as general manager, Chassis, Americas; general manager, Global Steering & Suspension; director, business development, Global Chassis; director, Purchasing and Supply Chain, Engine; director, Purchasing, Global Aftermarket  

Osterland earned both a bachelor’s degree in business and an MBA from Michigan State University.
